Following the conclusion of Boot Düsseldorf, which was held between 18th – 26th January, we are excited and eager to push forward with our schedule of events for the rest of 2020.
Within a magnificent line-up displaying the finest in design and technology by Princess Yachts were five show debuts – the F50, V55, S62, S66 and Y78 – underlining Princess’s recent launch programme resulting in record numbers of new yachts being designed, developed, manufactured and ordered over the last two years.
The Princess V55 in particular has been on our radar, and since her global launch at last year’s Southampton Boat Show, customers worldwide have been eager to step on board and see the craft for themselves. The open and flexible configuration is something rare within the yachting world, and the meticulous attention to details and recognisable design qualities known to Princess is something to be admired.
Customers and members of the public who visited the Princess stand at Boot Düsseldorf were also able to see the real life mock-up of the Princess X95; the brand new concept of super flybridge design and the latest from Princess Yachts in collaboration with Olesinski and Pininfarina. Transported from her home in Plymouth to Germany, the mock-up enjoyed a presence front of stage with many stepping in to get a feel of the X95. A virtual reality experience and documentary cinematic video complemented the mock-up, bringing the Princess X95 to life and allowing the public to be involved in the design process of building this impressive craft. With a journey through the development drawings, to the moulding, mock-ups and the final product, customers were able to enjoy a superyacht in a completely unique and immersive experience.
Antony Sheriff, Executive Chairman, Princess Yachts said: “It’s been another great year for Princess Yachts at boot Düsseldorf. The show goes from strength to strength and I‘m particularly proud of the reception the X95 mock-up display received. We are always striving to create new experiences to showcase how our innovation and craftsmanship sets us apart in the industry. Our performance at boot Düsseldorf means we can look forward with great optimism to another very successful year for the Princess brand.”
Boot Düsseldorf this year attracted over 250,000 visitors across the 9 days, travelling from 106 different countries worldwide to see the finest in marine and yachting. Princess Motor Yacht Sales enjoyed an equally successful show, with approximately 45 members of staff attending from our offices and international dealers and over 300 appointments held.
