UK boats for sale: Princess V40
The Princess V40 represents a fantastic opportunity. On the main deck, the twin helm and elevated port lounger sit beneath a vast overhead sunroof for that infectious ‘open boat’ sensation. Aft of that, the cockpit space features a large starboard wetbar opposite a spacious dining station with an integrated aft sun pad and adjustable backrest. Down below, the brightly lit lounge is beautifully trimmed – and in addition to providing a convertible dinette, a large starboard galley and day access to the forward heads, this central space also operates as a handy separation zone when both the master and guest cabins are occupied.

Originally launched in 2013, the V48 has proved a major favourite ever since. Even on the closed coupe-style variant, the use of large windows and a sunroof help invite the outside world in and the sliding aft doors are also a great way to integrate the internal space with the open-air seating of the aft cockpit. That said, it was the V48 Open that went on to win a Motorboat of the Year award in 2015 and, even today, the on board experience continues to feel very special. The two-cabin layout features a full-beam master stateroom with starboard settee and a forward VIP guest cabin with optional scissor berths. The central lounge also features a dinette table that converts to a third double bed so six people can cruise in comfort. If you want to take your motor boating up a notch without overextending the budget, the Princess V48 makes a brilliant used buy.

The Princess V65 is an enduringly classy boat, whether you’re looking at the newer model or the classic. Even a model from the year of her original launch in 2006 still exudes the stylistic potency we’ve come to associate with the Princess V Class – and her performance remains everything you would expect of a premium express cruiser. With anything from twin 1100hp Man diesels to twin MTU 10V 2000 M93 1500hp engines on more recent models, you can enjoy a supremely refined cruise in the mid 20s, as well as top end that pushes as high as the 37-knot mark. Most commonly, you will also find a superbly sociable open aft cockpit, with seating on both sides of a central walkway and a handy wetbar to port. That’s often a layout that is neatly echoed in the saloon, where the use of a lower-deck galley frees up the space for a user-friendly combination of benches, settees and stools. There’s also an elevated dining station opposite the twin helm, with imperious views and lots of natural light from the huge sunroof. And when you step down below, the provision of three en-suite cabins means you can enjoy extended cruises, as well as day boating luxury.

If you want a taste of the superyacht experience from a manageable self-drive motor yacht, the Princess 23M is a very compelling solution. On board, the highlights come thick and fast. They include an internal staircase to access the flybridge from the main deck saloon. They include ample space for eight guests in four en-suite cabins with a huge master stateroom and a twin crew cabin aft. And they include a large cockpit dining station with all-round canvases, as well as a generous fly deck with space for a 4m tender. With every form of living space, from large formal dining stations to intimate retreats and comfy settees, the on board versatility of the 23M remains something really special for a boat of her size.

Launched in 2014, it employs a versatile four-cabin layout with a forward VIP cabin, a full-beam master stateroom and port & starboard twin cabins, with optional electric berths for fuss-free conversion to doubles. The main deck saloon is relaxed and casual with plenty of low-slung settees, as well as an aft galley that integrates beautifully, both with the internal space and the external cockpit dining station. The bow arrangement provides both seating & lounging space and, with a forward settee, an aft sunbed, a central dining station and a port wetbar, the fly deck is also an outstanding example of its type.
