From our very first stop at Porsche Chester to a unique display alongside Chris-Craft in Canary Wharf, we have seen the R35 in more than 13 locations in 6 countries with over 6000 miles travelled. The roadshow of the electric-blue model has given our customers in the UK and Europe an extraordinary opportunity to see this masterpiece of engineering up close.
Born of a desire to combine the very finest Princess experience with up and coming new technologies, materials and engineering, challenging the barriers of yachting and creating something which truly delivers on the wow factor. The R35 is the first of a brand-new range of high performance and highly spec’d sports yachts. Representing a new era in the yachting world, Princess partnered with BAR for their America’s Cup winning technology and legendary Italian designers, Pininfarina, on what is their first ever boat. This award-winning design and technology has secured a strong position in which to advance Princess yacht manufacturing for the future.
Here’s just some highlights…
19th – 22nd April: Ascona Boat Show
Set against the picturesque backdrop of Ascona in southern Switzerland, located on the shore of Lake Maggiore, surrounded by tall snow-peaked mountains and agricultural land – the electric-blue R35 looked at home against the colourful buildings and bright blue sky.
4th May: Turnchapel Open Day
On a beautiful spring evening in Plymouth, we presented the magnificent R35 at our Turnchapel facility alongside luxury sports cars including Bentley and McLaren. Our local owners and their guests enjoyed an informal get together with drinks and canapes flowing, and were able to step onboard to take a closer look at the R35.
5th – 6th June: London Concours
Described as ‘an automotive garden party in the heart of the city’, the Princess R35 may not strike you as something which fits into a supercar exhibition. Alongside the likes of Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Bentley and other well-known brands, the R35 really stood out and captured the attention of those visiting the event.
10th – 22nd June: Boisdale, Canary Wharf
Moving two boats into Canary Wharf in London was never going to be easy – A spectacle such as this has never been seen before in what is known as the business headquarters of London. Outside the prestigious Boisdale restaurant lay the impressive R35 alongside a stunning Chris-Craft Corsair 34.
5th – 21st July: Puerto Banus, Spain
On the southern coast of Spain in the warm summer sun, we displayed the R35 in what is arguably her most suited destination. Visiting ports nearby including Estepona and Sotogrande, we gave our customers around Puerto Banus the chance to see this electric-blue model in the flesh, both ashore and in the water.
Making her final stop in the beautiful port of Sotogrande on the Southern Spanish coast, we celebrated our roadshow coming to an end and looked back on the many locations we had presented the R35 to customers and enthusiasts.
If you would like to see the R35, you can do so at our September Boat Shows – Cannes Yachting Festival and Southampton Boat Show. To book an appointment, email our team at [email protected]
