The Princess S72 is the first of a new range of Sportbridge yachts from Princess. She incorporates the performance, design quality and technological innovation found in the Flybridge and V Class yachts, yet also provides her own style and attitude through sleek and aggressive exterior styling which will be the hallmark of the new S Class.
Fitted with twin Caterpillar or Man engines from 1622hp to 1800hp, coupled with the deep V-hull design and low centre of gravity, the Princess S72 delivers class-leading ride quality and performance, with not only a highly efficient cruising range but a top speed in excess of 37 knots.
The interior finishes and materials throughout are exquisite as with all Princess yachts. Below decks, a three-cabin layout includes a full beam master stateroom with angled hull windows; unique to the S Class range; and integrates all of the recent advances made by Princess in terms of design and finish.
In the cockpit there is a 3.9m tender garage which is able to house a jet RIB in addition to a range of other toys. There is also a large sunpad area above the garage as well as ample room for extensive cockpit seating and a full wet bar. The deck saloon is designed to flow into the cockpit creating one vast living space.
Access to the Sportbridge is accessed by a stairwell purposely designed to allow an uninterrupted view aft from the deck saloon. Clever design ensures that there is much more space than on conventional Flybridge yachts.
The S72 is the first yacht planned for the S Class range and will be launched at the Miami International Boat Show in February 2014. The S80 is due to come off the production line in 2015, and two more S Class models are also in the pipeline.
